Essential Oils: Wild Yarrow
Yarrow grows across the entire US, with the exception of the SE. In our region it grows in the higher elevations. At the lower edge of its elevation range the flowers are primarily white. As the elevation increases there is a greater occurrence of beautiful, pink hues.
Wild Yarrow (Achillea millifolium)
Gathered between 7,000 and 8,500 ft in the mountains of Northern Arizona. The complex aroma is daunting to describe! Distilled fresh, the plants provide an oil that has a full bodied, earthy, expansive and bright aroma. It is a panacea plant, whose properties are anti allergenic (contains Chamazulene), analgesic, anti inflammatory, skin healing, detoxifying, and is also supportive for the digestive, circulatory and endocrine systems.
